This series consists of typed transcripts of public hearings held by the President's Commission on Campus Unrest in Washington, DC; Los Angeles, California; Jackson, Mississippi; Kent, Ohio; and Albuquerque, New Mexico. Also included are press conference transcripts from Washington, DC and Los Angeles, California. Many of the records relate to background information on campus unrest and protests, proposed causes and solutions to campus unrest, and to particular incidents of campus unrest and violence. Particular topics mentioned include, but are not limited to, drugs, law enforcement, the National Guard, racism, the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC), Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), and the Vietnam War.
